As a rising senior at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Ebony works with Colorado Black Health Collaborative and serves under the Young Black Professionals in Health over the past two years, promoting health and wellness to the community across the Denver Metro area. She also serves under the National Council of Negro Women—Denver Section where she is given a platform to spread health knowledge and raise awareness, specifically on AIDS/HIV. She is currently working in two research labs and has an upcoming internship with National Jewish Health in their Molecular Diagnostics Lab. Ebony’s passion is teaching and education in biochemistry, where she is currently developing experiments for a lab manual specifically catered to students who are visually impaired and blind. She is also developing an experiment for industry practices in electrochemistry, which will help chemistry students have a hiring advantage in their field of study. Her drive and desire comes from her passion to serve and learn to help benefit the community. She serves on the 2015 steering committee for the Center for African American Health's Destination Health Walk/Run/Learn. Ebony’s career goal is to become a physician and a biochemist with expertise in Western and Eastern medicine. She desires to be a physician where patients are healed through integrative medicine and preventative care. She is also working on creating an African-American/Black all-natural, organic, and non-toxic beauty and hair care line.
